We’re looking for a Program Tech Person for Hybrid Zoom/In Person Presentations. We need help to set up computer, video and sound for both Zoom and Live program audience. Training provided– we’ll take you through the steps. Needed once a month on 4th Tuesday evenings at 6:30 pm. Eight times per year (Sept, Oct, Nov and Jan- May).

Birds in the Schools (BITS) is our popular program that sends volunteers into classrooms to teach kids in grades 2-5 about birds. BITS offers classroom drawing lessons about feathers and outdoor birding lessons with child-sized binoculars! With our new and returning volunteers, we hope to extend our reach and keep educating local students about the fascinating world of birds. BITS is always looking for new volunteers for these rewarding positions. On the job training is provided.

Bird Walk Leaders lead bird outings at pre-arranged sites to share sightings and identification of species encountered along the way. Encourage and teach new birders and those attending to be respectful of the birds showing good birding etiquette. Enhance the experience with local knowledge of the particular area.

Join our Bird Walk Team to help plan, organize, and implement bird walks. We are seeking “hosts” to assist our walk leaders. We would really like to have multiple birders involved in this fun and rewarding effort.

Booth and tabling staff. Our booth provides local festival attendees with info on CCBA’s bird outings and presentations, as well as educational and conservation efforts. Two-hour time slots are usually scheduled, with two volunteers scheduled at the same time. No experience is necessary; training will be provided. Contact us today and we’ll let you know when and where you can volunteer for CCBA’s next booth or tabling event! If you’re interested in spreading the word about CCBA in the community, this is an ideal way to get started.
