CCBA Adopts an Owl!

At its July meeting, the CCBA board decided to adopt a bird at the Cascades Raptor Center, a great organization whose mission is close to our hearts. But which bird? To help decide, President Maeve Sowles attended a “Night at the Raptor Center” event and was able to meet the Center’s two newest residents—a young Snowy Owl and a Northern Hawk Owl. Who could resist?

The as-yet-to-be-named young Snowy Owl will be viewable by visitors soon, once it gets enough training and feels comfortable in its new home. We urge you to stop by the Raptor Center and see “our” owl and consider an adoption for your family or organization.
