CCBA Goes to the Wildflower Festival

Sunday, May 17, Mount Pisgah Arboretum held their popular Wildflower Festival, and we had a great time! By noon, crowds filled the nonprofit alley while music played close by. Our booth welcomed around 100 people interested in birds, habitat, conservation, and our ever-popular taxidermy Kestrel. Board President Debbie Schlenoff spoke to a crowd about Bird and Pollinator Friendly Communities to the accompaniment of Samba Ja.

Thank you to our new booth coordinator Mitch Boriskin, board members Cecelia Hagen and Barbara Bryson, UO Environmental Science interns Aliand Ren(who helped the entire day!), and volunteers Miriam Gage, Katie McKinnis, and Connie Berglund for a fun day of outreach amid the flowers.
