CCBA Members Boost Lane County Schools

Thanks to all the folks who have sent in donations to our education programs. With the money that’s come in, we will be able to provide 47 classrooms with Audubon Adventures, the environmental curriculum that the National Audubon Society creates for elementary schools. Every teacher who opts in can give each student three issues of a colorful newsletter with articles about conservation, recycling, bird migration, habitat, and many other topics.

Your donations also support our Birds in the Schools programs, which sends volunteers into the schools to offer lessons about birds and birding.

Teachers are signing up now, but it’s not too late to contribute to this program if you want to help out. Sponsorships are $45 per classroom; email Cecelia Hagen at education@ccbirdalliance.org for more information.
