A tired but satisfied group of 88 Field Counters gathered at the Garden Club for the ECBC Countdown at the end of our Count Day, Sunday, December 28. Other than it being a very cold day and fewer birds counted than usual, reports were that the day had gone well. And it was great to see some new faces, along with the solid core of long-time familiar faces in attendance.

As usual it was a high-energy group with lots of stories, smiles, and camaraderie. At the end of the event several attendees pitched in to break down tables and chairs. Willing volunteers helped to make light work of this successful event.
