1st Saturday Bird Outing

These birding opportunities are intended to center women, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ folks and we’ll meet at Golden Gardens.

The tour will occur on mostly level, maintained paths. The walk is a one-mile loop. There is no reliable, potable water on site, so please bring plenty. There is no restroom on site. Parking is available for free on the street next to the park. 

We plan to bird for at least two hours. The forecast is calling for warm, partly cloudy conditions, so plan accordingly. Please check the forecast before the walk and bring appropriate gear to be comfortable (sun hat, sunscreen, bug spray, extra water, etc.). We will meet rain or shine.

We will have one extra pair of binoculars available, a scope to share with folks, and a couple of field guides.Please let us know if you have any questions or if you have an accessibility need that you would like to share with us. Program Meetings

Our monthly program meetings have something for everyone. During the last year we hosted programs by naturalists, wildlife artists and expert birders on a variety of topics from the birds of Hawaii, to ravens, wolves, and people, to the migration of red knots. Participating in a program meeting is a fun way to get involved with Coast to Cascades Bird Alliance. Meetings are free and open to all.

We are currently meeting on Zoom and in-person as conditions allow on the 4th Tuesday of each month between September and May at 7:00 p.m.
