This year CCBA/LCAS will host three Bon Voyage to Vaux’s Swift events outside Agate Hall…

Our next first Saturday bird outing will take place on April 4th at 8:30 AM. These birding opportunities are specifically designed to center women, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ folks. We will be meeting at the parking lot at the Royal entrance to Fern Ridge: https://goo.gl/maps/ DmGU2icz1y6h53qW9
This walk is on maintained trails and is relatively flat, although there is some uneven terrain and some steps up to the viewing platform. Fern Ridge is known to start being buggy this time of year, so please plan accordingly to be prepared for ticks/mosquitoes. There is little shade, but some benches to sit on at the platform. We will likely cover about 2 miles total on this walk. There is a bathroom available in the parking lot. If you have any other questions regarding accessibility, please let us know.
This area is known for car break-ins, so please ensure that there are no visible items in your car when you park, and you leave any valuables at home that you do not plan to carry with you.We plan to bird for at least two hours. The weather is forecast to be very pleasant, but please plan accordingly for your comfort. We will have one extra pair of binoculars available, a scope to share with folks, and a couple of field guides. Please let us know if you have any questions or if you have an accessibility need that you would like to share with us. Please let us know if you plan to attend.
