Dennis Arendt interviewed Oregon native and expert birder Dan Gleason in April and May, 2026. In this second interview you will learn about Dan’s diagnosis with a rare form of leukemia. Doctors told him that he could be cured, but that the cure might kill him. After weeks of chemotherapy, serious disabilities developed. Yet Dan’s attitude stayed very positive. Dennis thought that this story was inspiring and needed to be shared.
