Interview with Dan Gleason Part I

Dan Gleason is a native Oregonian, who taught a Field Ornithology class with Herb Wisner at the University of Oregon.  Dennis Arendt interviewed Dan in April and May, 2026.  In this interview you will learn about Dan’s early life, how he met his wife, Barbara, his journey into birding, and his eventual ownership of two bird-focused stores.  Throughout the first video there are hints that all is not right about Dan’s physical abilities.  Dennis decided to devote a second interview to Dan’s amazingly positive attitude despite some physical difficulties.
