Joan Bray’s Artwork at Emerald Art Center in March

Joan Bray was a calligrapher, among her many talents, and many of her art pieces feature nature poems, wildflowers and birds. Her artwork will be displayed at Emerald Art Center, 500 Main St. in Springfield, during the month of March. Hours are 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Tuesday – Saturday. Some of the pieces will be for sale, and some of the proceeds from the sale will be donated to Coast to Cascades Bird Alliance in her memory. Her artwork will be one of the exhibits featured in Springfield Second Friday Art Walk on Mar. 13 from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m.

Joan Bray was an active member of Lane County Audubon (now Coast to Cascades Bird Alliance) for many years. She was one of the Quail-mailers and gave talks at elementary schools with her bird nest collection.
