Program Coordinator(s?) Wanted

Most of you know that I have been the Program Coordinator for the Audubon Society, now Coast to Cascades Bird Alliance (CCBA), for many years. I am retiring from the job in June and am helping the CCBA leaders find a replacement for this volunteer role. I hope you will consider taking it over.

What does the Program Coordinator do?

• Invite speakers for the CCBA monthly meetings (eight meetings each year).
• Ensure the Quail editor has information about upcoming programs.
• Introduce the speakers at the CCBA meetings.

This is not a difficult job. I have enjoyed arranging speakers and meeting amazing people with talents and knowledge far beyond my own. It has been an exciting part of the position. The Program Coordinator does not have to be a CCBA Board Member. I have never been a Board Member, though I attended most of their meetings. The role could also be shared by a team, which might be the best way to fill the position.

I am willing to assist with the transition. Speakers for September and November have already been arranged, so the new Program Coordinator will have a “running head start.”
