This year CCBA/LCAS will host three Bon Voyage to Vaux’s Swift events outside Agate Hall…

We welcome Julie Parker as our new Board member and Treasurer.
She has this to say about herself:
I was born in Oklahoma City and lived in Norman for some 28 years after graduating from OU with a degree in accounting. I birded there, mostly on my own, enjoying the scissor-tailed flycatchers and painted buntings which were abundant in the summer months. My partner and I moved to Cottage Grove in January of 2004 and lived south of Cottage Grove Lake for 18 years. I was and still am active with the Coast Fork Birders and have participated in a number of Christmas Bird Counts.
I left my career in public accounting several years ago and am happily retired. While public accounting wasn’t fulfilling in a soulful sense, it did give me a skill set which can be used to help organizations like CCBA and I’m grateful to be given that opportunity.
I spend a lot of my free time working with Senior Dog Rescue of Oregon, based in Corvallis. I have always had a passion for dogs, especially older dogs, and working with the organization gives me great pleasure.
