Doug Tallamy Program: Nature’s Best Hope-How Can I Help?
The Upper Willamette Soil and Water Conservation District (UWSWCD), in partnership with the Eugene Bird City Coalition, is proud to welcome Douglas Tallamy, author of Nature’s Best Hope and Bringing Nature Home, to Lane County on January 23. His lecture at the Wildish Theater, 630 Main St., Springfield, “How Can I Help?” will focus on the importance of incorporating native plants into urban landscapes. Door opens at 5:30 pm and the program is scheduled from 6:30-8:30pm. Tickets went on sale on November 19. Tickets and information here.

Program Meetings
Our monthly program meetings have something for everyone. During the last year we hosted programs by naturalists, wildlife artists and expert birders on a variety of topics from the birds of Hawaii, to ravens, wolves, and people, to the migration of red knots. Participating in a program meeting is a fun way to get involved with Coast to Cascades Bird Alliance. Meetings are free and open to all.
We are currently meeting on Zoom and in-person as conditions allow on the 4th Tuesday of each month between September and May at 7:00 p.m.
